Gastro Pellets is a feed supplement from Trikem that supports the horse's stomach and gastric mucosa. 1000 g
Trikem Gastro is a feed supplement specifically developed to support horses that have undergone veterinary treatment for gastric ulcers or are suspected of having them. It is also suitable for horses with a history of gastric ulcer issues that are experiencing stressful periods, such as environmental changes and travel, as well as during medication affecting the stomach and intestines.
Ptotects and soothes the stomach
Gastro helps protect the horses stomach with its lecithin content, a substance naturally present in the horse's body. Combined with polysaccharides, lecithin forms a protective barrier gel in the stomach that effectively shields the mucous membranes from stomach acid. Lecithin acts as a stomach balm and aids in protecting the stomach in horses with suspected gastric ulcer issues.
However, adding supplements alone is not sufficient if gastric ulcer problems are suspected; a veterinarian should always be consulted in cases of suspected gastric ulcers in horses.
Dosage
12 ml (10 g) per 100 kg body weight per day.
For the first 10 days, a double dose is recommended, followed by the daily recommended dose. The supplement should be mixed dry with the horse's feed, just before feeding (should not be soaked).
